TWIN-CALLIPER DISC BRAKES
TEXU
The TEXU brake features a unique symmetrical dual-calliper design that delivers high braking force while eliminating tangential shaft loading. Two pairs of callipers apply braking force evenly at opposite sides of the disc, reducing tangential forces to effectively zero. This allows higher braking torques to be applied without requiring oversized shafts, mounting structures, or gearbox bearings.
The TEXU‘s intelligent mechanical design uses a single thruster and synchronising linkage to ensure both calliper pairs open and close simultaneously, maintaining equal air gaps at all four brake linings. Automatic wear compensation maintains consistent performance throughout the brake’s service life. The extremely slim profile minimizes clearance requirements between motor and gearbox, reducing overall assembly size and shaft overhang.
